I wasn't looking for this color combo, actually I was hoping to find silver. Really I was shopping for a low mileage E55, and this was the lowest mileage I could find under $25k.
I actually like the triple black combo now, it really looks nice. Thanks.

Price is little high My is the same color as yours and I paid $24,800 about 19 months ago, one owner car ~39,800K miles, mint condition in & out, and free shipping from IL to WA, but if you like it than it worth the price.

Thanks guys. It came with practically new Pilot Sports, so I am happy.
Just wondering, does anyone else get an occasional differential 'moan' when accellerating in 5th at 2500-3000 rpms?

can you describe the moan? is it tire roar, is it coming from engine bay, is it coming from under the. Try to be as specific as possible, there isn't supposed to be any noise at 2500-3000rpm while cruising. Is it while accelerating, decelerating or steady cruising?

I know what you mean, i hear it too on my car. At crusing speed each time you give it a little gas you hear a moaning sound from under and rear of car. It sorta virbrate threw the cab. I guess that normal because it came with the car when I got it
I asked the previous owner about it and he said it was making that humming sound when he bought the car new. I'm use to it so it never bother me

The moan sounds like it is coming from the center of the rear seats, so I think. It only happens when lightly accelerating between 2500-3000 rpms. Basically it happens when you are cruising, if you gradually accelerate between those rpms. On the other hand, if I accelerate agressively, there is no noise at all.
I did get new snow tires and wheels last week (Pirelli Sottozeros) and the tread is agressive. Wondering if that is the issue?

Thanks guys. I am glad to hear the 'moan' is normal, I'll assume it is agressive AMG gearing!
Great to be on the board, I've had BMW's since 1993, so happy to make a change.

Mine does that too. I think that somewhere in the 2500-3000 RPM range the engine hits some kind of resonant frequency and you get some reverb through the car.
