obdii scanner for mercs???
Hi all,
Im looking to purchase a obdii scanner for my e55 amg but dont know which one to get???
I'm in the uk and would like to get one from the uk to cut down on the import duties....just got caught out by £80 getting stuff from the U.S. not realizing how much H.M. Customs charge....bless em!
I think i need one with a circle ( round ) connector and not the square type i've seen.
Also will these work on mac computers s i don't have a windows P.C.????
Any help appreciated.

In the US there is a standard OBDII port above the drivers left knee (left side of cabin); suspect you have one under your dash too.
You can buy software and a cable kits and run it from your laptop or a simple handheld unit. Sftware variety usually provide more data. Handheld types here start at about USD$50.

I actually got my scanner from ebay.co.uk and I'm in America lol. I got a unit that plugs into my laptop and lets me read and erase codes, monitor live data, record data and host of other things. Works with Windows XP and Vista but I havent tested it for any other computer operating systems.
