His car is lowered. He installed the full Kleeman suspension kit.

Hey Ben!

Like what Wreck said. I'm using a full kleemann suspension. Speed Sensitive shocks and Kleemann springs. And makes the HRE's stand out better!

Also another thing to note is if you get 19"s using factory suspension the finger gap on front is about 2-3 fingers and the rears are about the same. Stock pads a 3 dot.

Jam, what is your opinion and impression so far concerning the ride, stiffness, cornering, etc of your Kleemann setup. Is it far superior than the OEM setup. Are you satisfied with it? Thanks.

Hey Kevin!

My opinion and impression on the ride, stiffness and cornering of my current Kleemann suspension setup is great! No problems so far and the nice thing i like about it is when i corner combined with my SO-3's the grip is just amazing. Feels almost like your in a track yet still comfortable. It's really amazing. Very stable. You just need to experience the ride for yourself! I can tell you pretty much all about it but again experiencing is something else. IMO it's worth the upgrade vs the OEM stock one. Stock ones are great but just too soft for my taste. So over all experience with my Kleemann suspension is i'm very satisfied. You should get that upgrade at least. And you can call Peter at www.wheelexperts.com or Ben at www.evosport.com . Hope this helps.

Thanks Jam, it is alway good to get the first hand opinion from someone that has upgraded.

I believe that most tuner suspension kits are mainly designed to upgrade the W210 E320/E420 or E430 and that most are 'similar' or close to an AMG E55 suspension rather than being an 'unique' upgrade for E55's.

All tuners list the same suspension parts for all W210 models and do not make an upgraded kit specifically for E55 models.

Welcome Kev! I did my homework on this before jumping into these suspension. Thanks to CLK 69 for giving me a test ride on his CLK with the same suspension. Once i rode his car i was sold! Just simply best performance and comfort suspension out there.

Vic,

Did it seem like it was "floaty" with the stock suspension? How do you think it looked, was there too much gap between the top of the tire and the wheel well?

Thanks,

BenH

suspension

I changed from oem to hr sport springs and bilstein sport shocks. It absolutely stopped the floaty feeling but at times, with four people in the car on new orleans pock-marked streets, it gets pretty bumpy. Still, the tradeoff is worthwhile. It's a much tighter car. I'm second on the list for next e55, which should occur this coming oct. or nov. First delivery is late july, they say.
