Dead Battery....Help!!!
Hi all, Ive been away from my e55 for about 10 days, just tried getting into the car and its totally dead![wall](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/banghead.gif)
Does anybody know what type of battery I need or is it worth just jumping the car from my saab?
Also will all the settings have goe from the car? radio etc???

I would remove the battery and recharge it then load test the battery.Seen several cars get damaged from jump starts
After the battery is ok...then test the charging system and for a draw
As the car should be ok if it sits for 10 days my car will start after a couple weeks

Get a battery trickle charger, set it to 2amps and let it charge over night. If its still dead then now would be a great time to upgrade to a much lighter battery (perhaps an Optima, or if you really want to save weight, get Odyssey PC680 w/ battery box).
hope that helps.

Thanks for the advice.
I called the AA out and they got the car going again...could be the cold!!
Im putting it up for sale this week so I didn't fancy getting a new battery for it!
Its running fine now and its gonna break my heart selling it as its the best car Ive driven.... but no job = no 381bhp super car!...Gutted!!![Sadwavey](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/sadwavey.gif)

Also know that you have roadside assistance for the life of the vehicle and they dispatch out MB techs instead of tow truck drivers.
