High mile E55 as a DD?
Greetings fellas!
I am considering purchasing a high mile 04+ E55 AMG. What problems am I likely to encounter or start encountering with an 04 car with 70K miles? I drive approximately 15-18k miles per year.
I have had a few high performance cars and this would be my first high performance sedan of this caliber.
I was thinking of maybe getting a third party extended warranty incase the vehicle may need major repairs in the future. I usually dont buy these when I buy cars but I dont know much about the E55.
Thoughts or suggestions?

Just FYI, 04+ E55 is a W211, so you may want to ask this in the W211 forum. I bought an E55 with around 69k on the clock which I bought with CPO. Service C was required around that time I believe and then the next one for me is 10k from when I got it which is Service E. I don't know what's going to be up for my next service however. Failure wise, I suggest checking records of the car for previous services. From that you can gauge a car that's good or bad. If it's a solid car, there shouldn't be much that fails apart from items that need replacing every now and then, brakes, belts, fluids etc.
