Engine Air filter
Hello,
I would like to change the engine air filter on my 99 E55.
I have scanned the forum and I do not see a post that addresses this issue.
I cannot seem to pull the big black box that has the 2 filters up and away from the engine.
What am I doing wrong.
Thank you for your help.

1) Remove front cover; pull straight up
2) Remove air intake tubes; pull out
3) Remove air box; pull straight up. It is held in place by 4 rubber mounts attached to four large clips. Try one corner at a time. Also, the back end of the air box is attached to the top of the MAF sensor; just pull straight up. Then remove all 14? screws on the bottom of the air box to access the air filters. Good luck.
