Check Engine Light Came ON!!!!
I took it to AutoZone...and these are the codes we got:
P0306
P0308
P0300
Apparently it's multiple cylinder misfires due to many possible things. The guy was clueless![Wtf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wtf.gif)
I'm pissed!!![wall](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/banghead.gif)
PLEASE HELP!!

Didn't you just install a X-pipe with high flow cats? Then I'm 99% sure that it's your 02 sensors behind the cats that makes the CEL to come on! Either re-program them in the ECU so the CEL disappear, or install a set of "mini ceramic cats" instead of the 02 sensors. Same size as the 02 sensor. Had the same probem with mine, but after installing a set of mini-cat adapters = No CEL in over 10000 KM of driving

Thats what i was thinking since you installed the x-pipe.
May be a weak old sensor.
Either those sensors or something is wrong with the coil packs, wires, or spark plugs.
Should be a fairly cheap repair.

I think thats it my friend. I just remembered that my car made a funny noise this morning when I started it. It sounding like the battery was dead for second, then started right up with no problem. I think the ingnition coil is the culpret.
Any idea how much to replace it, and it is a DIY?![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
I'll also look into the O2 sensors and ceramic mini 2ndaries. Just in case.
Thanks for the input fellas!!

Keep in mind that sice he has modded his exhaust, the car doesn't "know" every part as it is from stock, and you can get a misleading fail code when you run it with a diagnose tester. My car said it had a bad MAF when i took it for a diagnose and i changed 2 MAF to find out the problem was the 02 sensors behind the last cats.

If it's the exhaust mod that turns the CEL on it no problem driving the car. The light will go on and off for a while and the finally stay in CEL and the engine goes into some kind of "optimal mode"

sounds like a bad MAF or bad 02 sensor(s). Secondary cats and x-pipe etc have nothing to do with that. Its not the recent exhaust mods. your primary cats may potentially be bad, but doing anything to secondaries has nothing to do with it b/c its much further down the exhaust stream way past any O2 sensors & etc. You can get misfires from bad MAS or O2s. Often times a bad MAS can throw an O2 code (or vice versa) simply b/c the A/Fs go crazy and the ECU doesn't know exactly which is bad and which is good so it basically just goes into limp mode causing misfires & etc. Usually the coils don't go bad until very high mileage (especially multiple at a time) so its usually just an effect of the problem, not the actual root cause.
hope that helps.

Hey Lee,
After doing a bit more research into it, looks like misfires are happening in Cylinder 6 and cylinder 8 (P030x, the x designates the actual cylinder misfiring), and then the P0300 is just a general misfire code for all cylinders. To me it sounds like its one of your primary cat O2s (before the cat) b/c both of those cylinders are on the same side, and that does most of the monitoring. The fact that you are getting misfires shows that its most likely completely dead. Usually if its the post primary cat 02s you will get a catalytic converter code b/c its not getting a post cat reading. FYI, when the MAS code was thrown on a customers car, it did actually end up throwing a primary O2 sensor code as well, but only one side and there were no misfire codes of any kind so it appears that it may be more so an O2 problem than MAS problem.
hope that helps.

Hey Lee,
Just to be sure you may want to check your spark plugs, if you have close to or over 100k, the original plugs could be shot as well. Just another suggestion.
