Renntech W210 airbox
Actually, not sure yet. I need to open it up and check.
It either is or was. I wiped it down since this photo, and it doesn't seem to have come back. I take it this is fairly common with this motor and nothing to worry about, so long as there isn't a lot of oil coming out.
I will probably go in and tighten the bolts back down, as I've heard this can be a cause. If the actual gasket itself is bad, I'll leave it unless it really starts pouring oil.
Any other ideas to fix this? Thanks.

Either way it's a cheap DIY fix

I have Renntech foam filters in there. They are very dirty, and appear to be somewhat rotten. I will be replacing with stock filters, as I hear they flow very well (when new).
It appears my valve cover bolts were loose, so I tightened those. Hopefully that will fix it, without requiring new gaskets or sealant.
Here are some more pictures of the intake.

They basically take the stock filter top, cut it off, keep the bottom part (to mate to the stock filters), and replace the top with carbon fiber. Here you can see the cuts, cracks in the carbon fiber, resin from gluing on the carbon fiber top, and even a fingerprint in the resin.

Sorry to resurrect such an old thread but I was just wondering if the renntech air box shares the same bottom half as the standard e55 air box I have looked for picture on the web but can only find a picture of the renntech with a filter in here is a picture of the standard air box with filter removed to compare.
