Parts.com -> input your car -> Front Bumper -> Bumper and Components -> Bumper Cover -> E55

It's still expensive at $1k, but better than your other quote.

Sounds like a joke of a price, check on ebay, I seen them in the $200-400 range for slightly used.

Ducks, what happened to yours? They are repairable, within reason.

when i bought it,the front end on passenger side was scraped in a parking lot,minor rash on the cover,but since the topof the bumper is connected to the bumper cover,it needs totally replaced. after pricing this stuff,1400 for the MB piece, i'm getting a 300series bumper cover,exactly the same as the amg cover but w/upgraded fog lights that are rectangular ,not round, i'm having the slats in the bumper removed,replacing them w/ black racing wire mesh, should give it a really different look.

Well the AMG bumper cover is $1540.00+ you need the 2 inserts-toe hook covers @ $236.00 each= $2012.00 VS.
the 300 series at $340.00 no inserts just long slats
Now look at a 99 320 and an Amg car, absolutely no difference except for the inserts in the grill and round fog lamps.
Since the 320's are exactly the same body alot of parts are interchangeable, seems when you say AMG $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Sad, So I decided to save the $1700.00
and get the rear cats removed, install an X pipe,clear euro side marker lights,and a carbon fibre rear trunk spoiler, and i'll still have about $1000.00 left over!
when it's done I'll post pictures, the cars black w black/white interior, 55k miles and no rust,great condition and wayy fast .Maybe I'll just buy a Eisemann exhaust with the balance and be done LOL.

Yeah, that's because you have the non facelift version, the 99 body kit is really plain compared to the 00+, so makes sense that the bodyparts are interchangeable, would a facelift bumper fit on a 99? or does it need the headlights/grill/hood too?

thanks

thanks for the link, when you add the inserts at 236.00 each and the bumper molding at 180.00 add another 650.00 or so plus paint and installation, adds up fast.
