Also to the people who has owned their w210 for a while.... How did you feel about the W211 when It was released...

I'm talking:
styling
technology
ride comfort
performance
handling
electronics
etc....

I just want honest opinions... feel free to express yourself

2 cents.

Styling: Prefer the W210 as it looks solid for me.
Technology: Don't really care for it too much.
Ride comfort: Using aftermarket suspension so ride is
Performance:
Handling: See above
Electronics: See above

etc....

Styling: It' a damn fine good lookin car. The quad exhaust does it for me. I prefer the looks of the 211 over the 210.
Technology: I'd rather have a bullet proof W210 than deal with SBC issues which are quite pricey.
Ride Comfort: Not sure as I haven't driven one.
Handling: See above, although I still feel the a stock 210 is a bit mushy in turns. Perhaps springs/shocks make this better.
Electronics: Other than vented seats, its the same for me. Both ACs runs cold and both let me play my iPod. Thats all I need.
etc: Bang for the buck - Hands down the 210

Well in my house we have the 2 models! here we go my personal oppinion

The W211 (AMG), have an impressive driveable sens, handling are better for a loooong term than the W210 (AMG), the interior plastics in the W211 are really deseptionant, Well: the all interior are very bad quality (salve the amg seats & the wonderfull Alcantar roof & pillars exelent), Performance engine are not in discution... The M113 kompressor engine runs like a best REALLY.. Harmann/Kardom logic 7 system sounds very very good with the Ipod solution (not simple possible with the W210) but if you consider the 10 Yr old W210... The Bose W210 sounds perfect.. I don't like the shat SBC system is no good for me (Extreme calipers, Extreme Rotors.... but... the brake power are not the best.) i feel my W210 power stop very stonger!.. The Steering shifter in the W211 are really fun & response very quik than the W210 shifter (00 +).. apparence in the W211 amg: we need to be honnest, are newest than the W210.., but the W210 don't lost the beautiful line anyway.. the bi-xenons with variable steering headligts are very helpfull pattern in night view..

For Me:

The W210 have a good construction materials than the W211, & all the car are constructed in order... the W211 have wires like a "spider lines"!! very dessordered.... the W210 are Very stronger & confortable too (I ONLY NEED THE AMG KOMPESSOR IN MY 55 210 hahaha)

The W211 are a beautiful machine, i like the ride sens, very confortable too. & the handling in the E55 kompressor are impressive impressive impressive at hi speed.. pano roof are not in discution too
