can someone do a DIY on MAF removal?

i've been searching for a DIY that shows how the MAF can be removed but there isnt anything available for the E55. all the write-ups are for the 6 cyl or the non-AMG V8 with the smaller airbox on the side of the motor.

even a pic with what has to be removed would help. I took out the airbox to replace the filters, and was going to clean the MAF as well but could not figure out how to remove it without breaking it or spending some serious time on it.

thanks.

Recently helped another member clean the MAF sensor on his normally aspirated AMG ‘55.
CRC’s MAF cleaner seemed to work well.

Cleaned a fair amount of the blow-by residue from the throttle body while in the neighborhood.

Although the nuances of his air filter assembly differ, the R&R procedure is exactly as outlined in Pancho’s DIY…

this is exactly what i was looking for.

someone should make this a sticky or add it to the DIY section as iis much better than anything i've seen listed there for cleaning the MAF.
