Replace Bilstiens on 2002 E55 ?

I have seen a set of 4 Bilstiens sport shocks for $369.00 My E55 has 85K
miles. Would it make sense to buy these and replace - should i wait to 100K
miles or ? How long should the stock shocks last ? Thanks for any help.

Sooner the better, If you plan on dropping get the sports, otherwise just get the bilstein HDs. I've seen shocks go bad as early as 60k so you could be well past the life expectancy of your stock shocks. Hope that helps

Bilsteins suppose to last 100k+ miles. My C36 with 107k miles has the original Bilsteins and its still very stiff. No bounce at all.

I replaced my stock Bilsteins at 45k miles. Went with Koni's.
