Metal Core high flow cats now only $64 on ebay....
Hey guys,
Found another seller on ebay selling the same 300-cell metal core high flow cats for only $75 shipped each. If you haven't done high flow cats yet, now would probably be the best time to do so for only $150 shipped. Hope that helps.

To put it politely, Cali just plain sucks for performance enthusiasts (that's why I don't live there
).
If you can find a shop that will do it, then you are in luck I guess. Im looking for a Cali solution but no luck as of yet.

If I find a shop to put them in, then I have the issue of reg. renewal and them inspecting the CATs to look for the stamp.

There is one company that has CARB compliant high flow cats but I cannot remember exactly which one it was, I will have to find the link for you. I'll let you know.

They have a 3.0" cat but its pretty big and it may be easier to get the smaller 2.5". You could get the 2.5" ones and just have the muffler shop stretch open the openings a 1/4 inch (its easier to stretch open then to shrink down).
On the W211s you shouldn't need any additional piping but if so the muffler shop will include it free with the labor. The W208s, W210s & etc alittle extra length is needed, muffler shop should include it free, just make sure they use aluminized steel piping and not mild steel (most only carry aluminized anyways but just be sure).
Hope that helps.
