A/O this date, there are fewer than 575 White Star Flat Badges in circulation. I recently shipped one to Sri Lanka.

I love my White Star badge and the craftsmanship and fit are perfect. However, the White Star is now a Yellow Star. This happened after about two years. Just thought you guys should know that it will fade...

Your badge, #294, was of the original, flatter profile style and was purchased in Sept, 2008, some 4 1/2 years ago. There are six year old badges that still look like new, and a handful that have aged to an "antique white" I have not been able to determine why some badges acquire this patina, while most others remain pristine.

The inserts for the current production badges are from a different factory and are finished differently. I have not heard of any antiquing on these.

Meanwhile, to keep your WHITE STAR Flat Badge nice and shiny white -- or to restore it -- a handful of members have written me to recommend the following products. You may already have these mag wheel cleaners in your car wash kit. A tin is about $4-$5 at your local auto store.

I'm told the Mothers product works especially well. Just put a dollup on the white star inlays, let sit for a couple minutes then wipe off. Minimal rubbing needed.

Minimize contact with the blue laurel wreath areas… these are in blue LACQUER, so the cleaners should not mar them. But I’d steer clear just to be sure.

There presently are 107 AMG Flat Badges in circulation around the World. I have plenty of materials left to continue making AMG Badges.

However, as this is written, there are 584 White Star Flat Badges, worldwide. There will be less than 600 total (probably around 595) when I run out of materials to make these. At that point, White Star Badge production will cease, and will NOT resume. Fair warning.
