if you want to lower an inch! go for Euros with #1 pads all round!
You can buy some used ones conserving the ride quality. i put the eibachs on my car by 6 months aprox & the ride quality is pretty pretty good but a little little hardest than OEM euros, anyway i like it very much the 2 set-up's my car now runs the OEM euros (factory installd cause the car is an the Euro spec)
hope that help

Bellefonte,
Thanks for responding... - Can you comfirm your set-up (springs/shocks) and the difference in ride vs stock setup? Also.. the guy at Evosport kept saying that Euro Springs would drop my car 1.5 inch in total which is lower than H&R springs - but all notes in this forum say that Euro spring drop (1 inch) is less (which is what I want).
Can you confirm the drop you got out of the Euro Springs? Post pictures please if you can.
I am ready to pull the trigger but the "Slammed" look is not for me.
regards,
AA

Contact Steve @ MBENZNL.com
Steve can get any Euro AMG or Mercedes item
The parts can be sent via international FED EX three day If you want to pay the price for faster shipping
Also one can fine tune the ride height via spring pads ...Might take a few tries to see where you like it
I Have one notch pads and the short springs on my 210..looks and rides great

Mark,
Done... Although I ordered a set of Koni FSDs already... I would expect as some have run H&R with Koni FSDs - I can prob still use Euro Springs...
Oh - BTW Evosport confirmed Euro Springs are not as aggressive as H&R.. but price shipped was above $500.00 - lets not even get into what the dealer quoted for OEM parts (shocks, springs and labor) - can we say over $3,000! They have lost their minds!

I got my springs from Gert at www.carnewal.com for a few bucks less than your quote. I was also shocked at the direct OEM US spec replacements cost.
I did a lot of research on the parts. I didn’t want a drop over 1 inch and a harsh ride. I went with Koni yellows on euro springs. I heard the estimates of the all different springs. My drop is about 20mm or 1inch, I don’t know what pads I have; whatever is stock.

Gents,
Ok I received my Koni FSD shocks from Tire Rack last night.... couple of questions:
1. Despite the advice from Koni (to be used with stock suspension only) - is anyone running FSDs with lowering springs (Euro, H&R, Eibach etc)? (I think I saw a comment on the board regarding FSDs and Eibach). If so, please let me know your take. (i.e. slammed/not slammed, runs well, how many miles, bottoming out? and would you do it again?)
2. I am still trying to figure out how some are running Eibach ProKit on E55s when I can't find Eibach springs for th E55 model - are board members buying and installing the E430 ProKit instead?
Regards,
AA

I have koni sport yellow ajustable with the OEM euro springs with no problem too
My local koni seller tell the sports works with the lowered car, the FSD's are for the stock suspension (but my car have the stock suspension) some people put the FSD's & some people put the adjustables with no problem, (i get the externally adjustable ones)

Probably not so interesting since i'm overseas, but i'll sell my Euro springs when i mount my coilovers on my car within the next 2 weeks. They have 110000 KM (68500 miles) on them.

Ob1 - no worries.
Anyway - update is I ordered EuroSpec springs via Evosport so install with FSD and #2 pads should be done in the next 2 weeks. Mad excited as I love the fact that my car will ride better than it was new. These cars are probably the best deal in town.
Next I will be tackling polish of front headlights. Don't want to Depo - Xenons I already have.

Fabio ... from what I have read ... there are quality issues and light dissapation issues ... are you saying you have a set installed that work to your satisfaction?
Dude, if so, send me the link, the make and the price - because from where I sit right now polishing looks like a no-brainer.

The depo quality (plastics) are prety good, exelent fit in the car & no issues with that.. the Beam Pattern is other story.. i don't like the depos with HID's (some people like).. but if you buy the depo's, oppened it & install a OEM Mercedes W211 bi-xenon projectors instead the factory Depo projectors, you get the most exelent light pattern to our cars (same exactly to the W211's)
(For some reason "i didnt know" the BEN'Z headlights in the link, dont fit pretty good in the car, i do not have idea about some impact or so) but in my car the depo fits perfectly same as the OEM ones
Here are some pics by other member (but same as mines)!

Fabio,
Now I have jacked my own thread - LOL....
Thanks for the link - But I got to say that IMHO "The material cost is around $725." That's just not a good investment for lights, time and risk ... I guess I am plain cheap. 8^(
To each his own...
