So Sat night me and a buddy driving on the freeway and a newer yr model SRT-8 300C comes up quick on me ... Pulls up to me and I can tell he itchin to play a little and having driven a 300srt b4 im figuring he'll smash me what he's over 420hp t0 my 350hp whatever stock . Even my buddy whos owns a stage 3 turbo car agreed .So a couple times at over 60 - 70mph we both hit it and hes pullin on me like WTF ... The 2nd time running i just realized the kickdown button while flooring it <sorry noob never even new the car had it or ever punched it that hard to realize it >. So we come up to a clear wide open stretch on freeway no cars behind us and i slow down to about 50mph .. And he follows suit all of a sudden bam pedal to the metal from 50 to about 120+ we were neck and neck the whole way through and after about 120+ it seemed as if i was startin to pull on his *** then he had to let off cuz we where comin up on traffic and im not a street speed racer so no need to put anyones lives at stake ,But man i thought for sure he would smoke my *** and here it was dead even upto about 120 my 5.4 against 6.1 i was dead sure even uptop he would pull off on me but now im pretty confident he wont .Drove the car for about 3-4 hours b4 that night just normal driving and after hitting the kickdown seemed the have awaken the ECU or somthing because she felt like a beast after and was ready for anything <so was I LOL> I guess this is where the itch for modding comes in now .My buddy was shocked then tried explaining to me that Euro HP and USA HP arnt the same like i can really tell the diff. anyhow just felt like sharing and will never underestimate my baby again ..lol ..
PS. if i had a tune and some headers i believe woulda smoked that fool .. but thats a whole nother story ..

they run 13.4 in the 1/4 mile. I'm guessing your car runs about the same?

yes after checkin it out srt at 13.2 108mph 425hp/420tq

I was always curious what these would run.. I have an 01 S55, same engine but weighs more. My quarter time is like 13.9/14.0..so I think the SRT would beat me easier, but by how much?

yea he might pull a car length or two since the s55 weighs bout 700lbs more then e55

Nice work. Ive always wanted to run a 300c srt or charger srt but havent had the opportunity. I'm guessing the extra weight of the srts negates any hp/tq advantage?
