Bad MAF?

So yesterday the check engine light came on but didn't notice any difference in driveability.

This morning i stopped at a light and the car stalled, cold sweats begin. Continue on my way to work and it started hesitating and studdering at low speeds, also the tranny was acting weird, it would shift harder than normal, downshift when not suppossed to. Get to the parking lot and gun it but it woudn't catch.

I've had these symtoms before on my other cars and it was the MAF. I haven't read the codes either but from what i read these are the symptoms of a bad MAF. Or could it be a bad crank sensor?

Crank sensor would have shut the motor off.I would suspect the MAF.

How long have you had MAF? Could it maybe be spark plugs or a change of tranny oil?

hi, new here. Can anybody tell me what codes P0100 and P0110 are ?
Car has a bad hesitation when you hit the gas. other than that it idles and runs ok.
The car has also been sitting for over a year.

bas/esr light

I have a 2001 SLK320 i just purchased.I'm new to the mercedes world having owned mostly BMW's.I'm working on a few issues with the car.
One is the BAS/ESR light is on.After reading many posts it looks like the first place to start is the brake light switch.I'm picking one up today.
Can anyone tell me how difficult it is to get at this switch? Also, is there a reset of these lights after I put the switch in?
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks!!!!!!

Can't speak for replacing the switch but I would recommend going to harborfreight.com and picking up a OBDII code reader ( cheap ! ) to allow you to read the codes and reset everything !

Nah , I thought it might throw a code.I would expect the the light to go out once the switch is replaced.

You are in the wrong section, this is the W210 E55 part of the forum and you have an R170 SLK. You would get more informed responses from people who actually own the same vehicle, that being said I posted a thread in the correct section with screen shots from the WIS.

Here is a link:
https://mbworld.org/forums/slk-class...ml#post4798229

I would suggest that you post your questions in that section

I hope this helps
