Shifter issue

Hey all my 01 with now 117k has devoloped some kind of issue with the shifter .. The car works and shifts perfectly into every gear ..Just doesnt feel as tight and kind of makes a klanking noise going into D . Ive searched and i think ive figured out its 1 of 2 bushings <hopfully>. Just havnt figured out which one yet as i havnt had a chance to get under the car .. My question is . How much longer can i drive with either one worn out as im going to get it replaced just not sure how amny days exactly .. Is it safe to drive with it as-is for the time being ? Thanks Flo

You should be good just don't take to long. Worse case scenario you won't be able to shift. Do a search under my name. I replaced the shifter 3x and I'm fully experienced with the bushing.

If you have a rough 1-2 shift, I would try changing the trans fluid. Has yours ever been serviced?

Sorry, I misunderstood your post. Does the whole car "jerk" and clank when going into Drive? Or does just the shifter feel loose?

is ok .. i can be misunderstanding at time ..

car feels great .. i do get that jerking feeling when coming to a complete stop but other then that on the move the car shifts great ..

Its only when putting it in Drive the shifter kind of feels loose .before it felt pretty tight .
