Noo! Don't go straight piping the rear muffler! Worst idea ever!

I straight piped the rear muffler and the resonator one time and due to our computer and transmission, we would be in low gear all the time... which means DRONE! UNBELIEVABLE DRONE!
I ended up getting a magnaflow muffler. But I think its old now and too loud... And I'm only 17...

But then again, my E55 didn't have the same stuff done to it like your car...

I understand your point. But a N/A engine will sound alot louder then a F/I with the same exhaust mods. And my car already has quite much drone between 1500-2000 rpm. But i never use the D-shift mode so i don't care and never experience that drone between crusing at 1500-2000 rpm, i only use the manual +- shifts, much more fun!

Best thing is, if it's to loud i just put it back.

This is awsome.

Straight pipes would be fun to try for a day.

Well then, if you are willing to bear a loud daily drive... GOOD LUCK!

My car won't be a true straight pipe setup. I still have 2 race cats and a X-pipe that acts like a silencer of some kind. I think this mod will be just perfect!

A true straight piped 5.4L V8 would be to loud IMHO
