Hello everyone. First off thank you for all the help. I have been researching and learning for months now. I bought a '00 E55 and couldn't be happier with it. I did want to clarify a couple questions I have from my searches.

Does anyone ever install an exterior antenna to improve reception (I miss my AM radio)?

I'm planning on installing a double DIN receiver. Does the stock navigation bezel fit (think I remember reading the length is different) or is a custom fabrication needed?

I have recently had trouble starting my car when it is still warm. It cranks fine but doesn't start. When I give it an hour it starts fine. Would this be a failing CPS?

1) Check the amp in the C pillar.

2) A double DIN radio will be smaller than the stock Nav system. You'll need some kind of bezel to cover the 2 or 3 mm difference in size.

3) Sounds like a bad CPS.

Definitely a failing CPS. It will only get worse. Go to parts store, buy part for less than $90 and then take it to an Indy shop and have them put it in. Should take them less than an hour.
