STS TURBO FOR W210 E55???
A Garrett 60-1 T04E with the .81 housing is 850-1200
Two .50/.36 turbos from SPA are 1300
If you feel like spending Kleeman money on the subject you could get ball bearing turbo's that would give supercharger response. Although the two listed will most def. brake boost at 0mph.

I did however talk to a guy at mercedes who told me that putting a turbo on a W210 is a horrible idea because of the risks involved(engine blowing).
The guy at mercedes suggested I do this:
1- beefy cam
2- Kleemann ECU tune
3- Headers
4- Complete exhaust job
5- I think he said something about a pulley???
He said I could get up to about 490-500hp going this route!
Can anyone say if these turbos are safe for our cars?
Theres a kitted out NA E55 on youtube, claiming 400 whp with everything you said except cams and the pulley.
Rev, burnout, launch

And what kind of numbers would I be getting if I did put a turbo or bi-turbo on my car?

Are you racing your W210 @ the track? If not, then why waste the money? Go with that list you have. Should have enough power for these streets and some track.
That's what i'ma do.
Headers, Tune, Pulley, Throttle body, Magna flow exhaust, etc. I'll be happy with high 400's.

she has a tendency to go faster now too...
Garret GT4294R dual ball bearing... and even at a "mere" 4psi it's putting down approximately 80+ HP and 100+TQ SAE corrected at the wheels. Obviously it is a work in progress but very healthy so far.
doesn't seem to want to post links to photos or albums...PM if interested

I created an album though here on MBWorld that has some of the development photos.
Any help with the tech side of posting photos or even a simple website of the build that showed it all.. I have over 150 pics and many dyno run vids .....but they are huge and show the run but not the screen of the output clearly..
I can say that at a mere 4 psi, she produces over 380+hp and 400+Tq.
Those numbers are all from the same Dynojet dyno using SAE correction.
baseline runs were healthy. I only have 19k miles on the car total so far as she is not daily driven.
If people are interested, PM me and help me figure out how to share this project online. Otherwise.....until I see you.
Looking forward to Drag night at Infineon Raceway as well as many trackdays.
Brakes: The new 6 Piston Silver caliper fronts and 4 calliper rears are here....
can't wait to get those on underneath the HRE's..19x8.5 amd 19x10 currently...

I am more interested in what was involved to make it work. Did you just slap on a turbo kit and run low boost? How did you address fueling/tuning? What size turbo? Pricing? Etc etc

Like you sir, I prefer to DO IT rather than talk about it...

And here is a link to my photobucket album
Hopefully that will help others view some of the hard work that has gone into turbocharging the E55

Can't wait to see more of this STS car. I've read so much up and down about the STS system. It will be great to see what it dose on these cars.

.. all that and 2mpg better fuel economy ...unless I get seduced by the pedal...We shall see how the new Quaife TLS fairs at getting both of the Michelin's to hook up and launch properly..... and the sound is.....mmmmm.....very seductive since it is essentially an open pipe system with a single hi flow race cat and the exhaust turbine between headers and exhaust tip.
