Polyurethane bushings anyone?

Does anyone have experience with polyurethane bushings on our cars?

I just replaced some subframe mounts on a friends Dodge with poly replacements. They were made by a small specialty company so I asked the individual who makes them if he has anything in the works for our cars. He didn't but said he can make most anything and suggested a single run group buy if there is something we want. BTW he can make the parts in a few different density polys.

Anyone have any interest or input?

I don't know the w210 well enough to know what should/shouldn't be done in poly but I've done sway bar links in my other cars as well as some of the suspension bushings. Maybe someone who regularly works on these cars can give an idea of what rubber points tend to fail the most as these would be the most likely candidates for poly.

For all I know W210 parts are already made in poly. If anybody know please pipe up.

FWIW the vendor I talked with did a group special order of a Dodge sway bar mount (two bushings) for $30 + shipping. Seemed rather reasonable.

I have poly bushings in my LCA's on my W210 E300. The bigger of the two bushings on the W210's LCA wear out and cause a great deal of play once worn. I had this problem on both sides of my car and the poly bushings definitely made a difference.
I'm definitely interested in poly bushings for my suspension. Just post up what you plan to have made and I'll probably get in on a group buy with you.
