Trunk release not working

Trunk release not working
All of a sudden the trunk release from within the car will not work.
If I use the remote the trunk open and the switch on the console lights up red.
Has this happened to anyone else?

It is possible that you may have to replace just the button, my mechanic did just that about a month ago. Just be sure to have your mechanic give the console a good look and hope that this isn't symptomatic of a larger issue that may be occuring.
