The point is to enthusiastically celebrate our cherished AMGs, despite not knowing who the "father/engine builder" is. Since 2003, the engine builder has placed his signature plaque on the engine of all new AMG cars. There were quite a few AMGs that left the factory prior to that point without the signature plaques.....hence the "orphan" moniker.

To my knowledge, we are not able to purchase an engine builder's signature plaque.

There is no cost whatsoever - it's a worldwide virtual club. Let me know and I'll add you to the list.

If we get enough interest, we may attempt to orgainze a gathering at some point.
