2002 E55 Left Over
Thanks for getting back to me. I will be picking it up tomorrow.
I had some reservasions because of the new model coming out,
but I still think it's a pretty good deal. By the way I'm trading in my 2002 BMW 745i for it, nice car but a little to big plus to many
electronics.

Wow, congratulations on the trade in, nice car the E55 (even if it is a 2002, still a very nice car). Please post pics when you get it, what color is it? Planning on doing anything to it?

Mind if I ask what you paid for it?
I'm considering a new 2002 E55 black/charcoal that is still on my dealer's showroom floor. I think he'll go very low 60's.

You made a great choice and got a great deal. As it so happens I just test drove an '03 Black on Black 745Li today. (My wife is looking for her next car.) I'm not a big fan of BMW's current styling direction, but the car was stunning in black. It drove really nice and didn't feel that big for 4400 lb car. But then when I got back into the old E 55 the difference was night and day. My E 55 felt like a light weight sports car in comparison.

Winter Driving
I wonder if anyone could give some feedback on how the E55
will drive in the winter months (SNOW) If I put snow tires on all
four will it be drivable. This will be my only car? Picking up car TODAY need to know ASAP
Thanks

It'll be drivable...no SUV, but if you take it easy, it will be no worse than any RWD sedan. Actually traction control and some snow tires would make it better than most RWDs, IMO.
Don't worry about it. It should be fine normal winter driving. What you should worry about during the sloppy winter months is the paint chips you will get from the butter quality paint MB uses. Consider a Bra.
