Hi guys - thought i would do an update on my car as last week was a very exciting week for the car and I.

Started off with a boot full of parts (clear lense headlights, Bilstein shocks with H&R springs, X pipe (AMS header and Eisenmann race muffler were installed earlier)

First the exhaust (Eisenmann race + X-pipe + secondary cats delete = embarressingly loud. Will try to post some vids next weekend.):

Suspension - am very happy with the height now (Bilstein + H&R + Front: #2 pads & Rear #1 pads (which I believe to be the OEM spec on a Euro 1998 E55 as I don't believe the previous owner changed anything))

Love these lights, makes the car so much newer!

The eisenmann muffler must be loud. I would have put the x-pipe up front where the 2nd cats were deleted. Looks great. Get a sound clip out

Thanks guys - will attempt to get a clip this weekend but no promises. It is quite loud though, I am already prone to loud cars as all my previous / other cars are rather loud, but this is really something for what it is; especially on a cold start up.

snoozie - i was always led to believe from my research that the X-pipe should be where the reasonator used to be?

Finally, after installing my AMS headers by one mechanic, i went to another mechanic and he said he would strongly advise me to wrap them headers as there are some hoses and wires quite close to the headers in that area. I live in Hong Kong so our summers are rather humid and hot reaching 95F or higher. What do you guys think? Should i go through the trouble (and labour $) to have it taken out and wrapped or just leave it? Can AMS shed some light on this please? Thanks.

The thing is, you have the 2nd cats taken out hence the best place to put the x-pipe is after the down pipes as close to the headers as possible. I did mine closer where the resonator used to be, because I still have the original cats. Here is a pictures with the x-pipe inplace of the 2nd cat.
