Complete Cat removal?

I am tossing the idea around of having a manifold/header-back pipe made up to the flanges past the secondary cat position to allow for easy bolt-up installation and re-installation of the cats at smog time.

This was a popular mod on the old 5.0 Ford Mustangs and yielded good results even with the lower output 225hp and dual 2.25" exhaust.

Wanted to know if anyone has done this and what I can expect?

-Noise/sound?
-Exhaust smell?
-Performance?
-What to do with the rear O2 sensors?

Not noise, Good sound, exhaust smell = LIKE A HELL, Pretty good performance, i made this to my car and is pretty hard to tell how much HP/TQ gain cause in a 360 hp car +10 or +15 hp is not extreme perceptible. but i can tell you you feel the change.. O2 sensors = Your car has rear sensors? mine has 2 only just after manifolds (you can remove complete cats & the ME/ECU don't know about) i canot tell you what you would made with your rear sensor to no get CEL

check first! if you have only 2 O2 you would make what you want with the cats without any problem and no CEL
