Painting my grill black
Just a couple quick pictures as I think I'm going to complete this but then have to redo it. I tried using the plasti-dip spray as I saw from a Lexus forum. It looked smooth when he did it on some emblems, but I think you'll see in the second pic it's going to have a rough look (which makes sense as that's what I pretty much figured it would do in the first place). Anyway, primered it gray first so that's why it looks so odd and speckled.

Actually, as it's drying the paint is evening itself out. Not absolutely smooth, but still an interesting look. It's a nice flat black that I just might keep. I think I have 4 coats on now so I'll throw a pic up once it dries.

That is made for black trim on cars bumpers so it matches the texture , I am not sure I would want to put that on my grill?

I do it different , I am in the collision field so pretty much grab anything I want for free, but yea give it a quick scuff a quality plastic adhesion promoter and put a little black color in your clear and it will give a nice uniform tint , adjust the black (color) and amounts of coats to your likeing , always do a test panel cuz results vary greatly!!!
