Congratulations on your 2000 E55 AMG!
What are these going for (worth) in Florida? I just picked up my 2000 E55 with 52,000 (Black with black and grey 2 tone interior) in Boston for $16,500 and I am very pleased with it. This one is extra clean. I don't see too many on the market.

A Boston car..hope there's no rust...I got my car for $14K and it was a FL car. 2002 with 70K miles though. I'd rather have that many on it though, most maintaince has been done already

I seem to remember that the '99 E55 was the last model expressly built by AMG technicians, before operations were moved to the main factory (my car is a '99). The later cars had significantly more power, but you'd be hard pressed to find a place where you can appreciate differences above the '99s 400 foot pounds of torque.
They're all great cars, with prices unbelievably below a new Honda Civic.
Regular maintenance at scheduled intervals is a must. These cars can likely handle half a million miles, if not more . . . owners baby them.

I think miles really doesn't matter that much as making all the necesssary maintenace and keeping up with the breaks. I live in new england and I find cars in the south that have dry rot rubber linnings and hoses due to extreme humidity and heat. Up here, we have the salt and extreme cold but if you get a car that has been kept up, it really doesn't matter. I always had diesels MBs and my last 99 E300D has 285,000 miles.

I agreed with you mfetch69. Also, please note that if a car has been set for a while, things then to malfunction itself for been sitting for a long time and not running it. My F-150 has that problem as I start it once every thirty days or so...non al winter.
