My 2001 E55 sure has them, and I use them. We have two little boys, one in a baby-seat and one in a booster. It'd be nice if the E55 had a LATCH system.
UPDATE: I apologize for posting misinformation. I posted before actually making sure I was supplying accurate information. Again, sorry.
The E55 has a central locking feature that activates above 9 mph. Below 9 mph, all the doors can be opened. Only the rear windows have an override feature (depicted by a child symbol) on the center console.

Is it on the door itself? I am not near my car right now. Open the door and look at the latch/catch itself. Is there a plastic piece that you can turn? I will have to check on May 1st when I'm home.

The thing is almost every car child lock is in the door but i don't see it in W210. I have in my W211 but never realize where is for W210. If the door is lock, they can still open from inside right ? so its not safe...... how can i know if 9mph + will not open........ try it running at that speed.... and what if one day it just doesn't work like 9mph ..... its really dangerous with kids...

I hear you, I don't see it anywhere in mine too.
I haven't done the 9mph test. I'll have to test it with my wife driving.

Just looked into this..
I was taking my sons back to my place, and Alexander was sitting in the back trying to open the door after I turned the car off. He was getting frustrated saying "Daddy, unlock the doors!" Like Thomas said, they automatically lock at 15 kmph (in Canada) and cannot be opened when driving. Hard to prove when driving, but I am sure they cannot open. The windows also lock too. A side note, when I was looking around the inside of the car, I counted 8 airbags
How awesome is that for a near 10 year old car. The W210 is a great car, even in today's standards. Cheers!

The true is ... I like better the W210 ride than my E55K. It rides better, The W211 is faster but not as the W210.

The safety lock issue...
Hey guys. My brother is a mechanic and he pointed out there is a switch on the door jam that can engage the child lock for the back doors. The lock on the console by the shifter is for the windows only. cudaized had it right...
Cheers!
