Missing pixels on my temperature display
Can someone show me (diy) how to fix the missing pixels on the temperature display? Or show me a link where to go to get this information. Thanks.

You need to basically make better contact by pressing the wires down. Try pushing small rubber wedges between the ribbon cable wire and the socket rear. Read it somewhere...should work.

do you go under the cover at the pedal well up or you just pull the speedo cluster from the front. I have change instrument clusters and blubs in a 123 300D wagon years ago by just opening the front plastic cover on the instrument cluster.

Here is a link to the other web site. Look in the INTERIOR ELECTRICAL section.

I took mine out. Easy to do. Steering wheel all the way out. I removed the fuse panel cover on the driver's side of the dash (by the pillar). Had access to the one screw that held the speaker grill on the top of the driver's side of the dash pad. Removed all of that and pushed out the instrument cluster with my hand. No need for those special cluster pull tools.
Here is a pdf from the other site. I can not take credit for this, but it is easy enough to tackle on your own.

Thanks for all the information. I'll try to pull the cluster this weekend weather permit. I really dont think it's that difficult unless I screwed up some other parts while working on this project.
