Caliper question

I confess I do not know much about brakes. My mechanic says that if I buy Centric calipers and ship back my cores, they will end up costing me about $50 each and will have 1 year warrantee. If he rebuilds the ones I have, he will have an hour into it and it will end up costing the same - with no warrantee.

That makes sense IF there is no difference in the calipers to begin with.

Question...Are the AMG calipers that come stock on our cars better than a Centric?

Do I have the AMG calipers cleaned, painted and rufurbished to re-install or just stay with the Centrics? They do feel different.

anyone have an educated opinion?

Reburfish your AMG caliper & stay with this.. Never change this calipers (only if you go for a BBK), the brake set-up in our cars are the best you can have
