Likely average maintenance cost per year
Assuming someone buys a one or two owner, clean, stock 2000-2002 E55 with about 100,000 miles on it, what do you believe will be their average cost per year for upkeep and maintenance? Let's assume they'll keep it for the next 8 years which will be approximately another 100,000 miles on the car.
(not counting fuel, insurance, registration, etc. - just maintenance and upkeep like tires, oil changes, brakes, MAF, plugs, coils, belts, and other wear-out items that will need to be fixed and / or replaced over the years.)

Cost varies yearly. This year oil change (only drive her 6K per year), and tires. Grand total: just under $1,000. With that said, I would just reserve $1,000 - $1,500. for normal maintenance. Next year, I will be due rear brakes in addition to an oil change. A few unpredictable maintenance items include: MAF sensor, crank position sensor, rear window motor, O2 sensors, motor mounts, and rear main seal. $250 to $1,150 respectively.

Mine is going to need brakes soon. I'm really dreading that as I don't feel like dumping another $700+ into it right now.
Mine needed motor mounts, control arm bushings, ball joints and plugs and I'm just under 100,000 miles. Parts were around $300 for all that. Labor will be expensive unless you have a hook up or DIY.
