Going to get some. Seems like most prefer them. Any dislikes?

I put some on my wife's E55. They keep the wheels FAR cleaner than the stock....that is for sure.
I think they have a very mushy feel compared to the stock pads on my '99. I have not ordered them yet for my car and I am not sure I will.

My experience with anything but OEM compound is mushy or a heavy pedal.

I have them on matched with Disk Italia rotors,,,,
braking could not be better!! and minimal brake dust

Well who doesn't hate brake dust. But seriously have never found pads with no dust and that same OEM feel.
amgalex, does it feel the same as stock? I don't like pushing harder on the pedal to stop the same "way" as OEM, it's hard on everything in the system.
Your pedal pressure is the same as it was? Did you have OEM pads before these Akebono?

Mushier (is that a word?) feel than OEM, cleanliness is a plus though. I have noticed that these things DO NOT like heat... glazed a rear pad after a brief foray through the twisties. I've seen other members that track frequently complain about the life-span of them...

Did em' on a previous Benz. They were fine, just didn't have as strong as a bite. But, they started squeaking like crazy after about 4-5 months of use, so I went back to OEM. Outside of cleaner wheels, I don't see much benefit, especially when the primary purpose of brake pads is to stop the car. Why go with something that potentially increasing stopping distances? Not worth the trade off IMHO.

had mine for about a year and i can say that compared to stock rotors/pads combo akebono/disk italiya cross drilled rotor combo feel better as far as braking
Not sure it increases stopping distances so much as it just requires more effort to decelerate the car. Lock is lock.

I can comment. I currently run Akebono pads and they do have a better bite. Downside is that they do need to warm up, but by the time you have made it to the highway your good

and close to zero brake dust which in itself is priceless. Those who are still running stock monos must be going crazy like myself. I would take one spin after hand washing them to come find them black within a day or so.

They look awesome, brake great, had them a little over a year now,
had a slight weird issue with fitment where my mechanic had to install spacers to have the rotors be centered properly inside the calipers....
I have them. Feels the same as stock to me. No brake dust is the best part. I've taken them through serious twisties and didnt notice much decrease in stopping power. Then again I bleed off speed by going sideways
