Can someone tell me what this part is?
Hi,
I own a 1997 E36 AMG and this part of the car broke, it cracked underneath and caused my car to stall every time i stopped unless i kept the revs up.
Its the same as the part in this photo but mine has 3.6 written on it.
Does anyone know where i can get a replacement for this part from?
My mechanic said theres none left in the world
He took the part and had it repaired, im not sure how long it will last or guess how much hes going to charge me for that

Appears to be the intake pipe, $40. Go to parts.com and choose your car, then Engine > Air Intake > Intake Pipe. That one won't say 3.6, that might be much harder to find, but it appears to be the same part.
That said, if it's patched with JB Weld or fiberglass, it should last just as well.
