e55 maybe?

hello all, i found a 2001 e55 the other day 85k miles a decent amount of the service records were kept and its very clean, my question to you is the car comes with a 6 month 6,000 mile warranty with an option to extend through the dealer for another 2 years, however honestly i don't have the cash on hand after i buy this thing to purchase a 2000 dollar warranty, is there company or another way to get a warranty on the car in say 5 months before the warranty runs out? if so which company would you recommend. i realize this has probably been asked before but, in doing the search i couldn't really find a definitive answer thank you for all your help

People will obviously tell you warranties are good to have on this car, as they should...This is my second W210 E55, and still don't have a warranty. I'm also mechanically inclined. So if you tend to bring your car to the dealer or other indy shops then you might want to think about getting a warranty.

The things I've noticed that go wrong on these cars seem to be sensors. Sure there are other cases, but if you have records on this car you are already set up. This is all my 2 cents.

if you know how to do the basics yourself, you should be fine without a warranty.

Don't waste your money in warranty...... I regret paid $2800 for my 06 E55K for 3 years and nothing happen..... if you don't race or mod your car, the car is very reliable. Plus, ext warranty always has some catch.... some components might not cover when you file it. Plus, always deductive too. I think i have to pay $200 deductive for my Chrysler ext warranty. $2800 i could do a lot of repairs !
