Considering a E55 2004?

Hey guys, I am considering a e55 amg 2004 or so. I currently have a c32. I am not looking to trade in or anything like that. I just haven't had the best of luck with the c32 so far. is the e55 that much better of a car? a lot more reliable? any feedback would really be appreciated.

YOu cant go wrong with either .. BUT you are in the W210 E55 forum where as the 2004 E55 is a W211 chassis ... the first os a naturally aspirated engine , the latter is a supercharged engine with an updated body styling etc.. Just thought you should be aware.. the W211 E55 has it is own forum in case youre set on the 2004 year.

Hey Mitchell_Ny!

This is the W210 E55 thread. You should post this topic to the W211 E55 which are 2003 and up models.
W211 E55 is a serious car. I'm not saying that the C32 is not a good car,but the W211 E55 is a totally different ball game.
Good luck!

People on W211 some how have very rude response. Anyways, my advise is stay away from 03 and 04. Try to find 05 or even 06 with less problems and much more reliable. I have 06 for almost 3 years, never had a problem. And 05 + has some update stuff.

I never had any major issue with my E55 or E63. I did not want to get another W211 E55 because most of them are out of warranty and as you know AMG are very expensive to repair. The only reason I sold my E55 because the mileage is getting high. My advice to you is buy a AMG with extended warranty.

The 2002 or under E55 will be about as fast but more reliable than your C32. Less modifiable, though.

The 2003 and up supercharged E55 will be similar in reliability, probably a little more so.
