Last Chance to get W210 E55 Headers, less than 10 sets left ...

Hello W210 E55 AMG Owners,

AMS will officially be ending its vendorship at the end of this year since it has officially be acquired by a new tuning firm. The new firm is selling all our old inventory at 20% off and there are less than 10 sets left. Once they are sold out there will no longer be any W210 E55 AMG performance headers available so this will be the last chance to purchase a set ... ever.

Just wanted to inform any of our long standing clients in case they wanted one of the last few sets before its too late. To purchase a set contact them via the link on our website.

All the best and farewell,
AMS

How much would it be for headers and a pulley? I currently have hi flow secondaries and x pipe, and say I get the ams add on's, would I need a tune or would that be sufficient?

iam very interested what would we gain in terms of power? So our cost would be 799+399+shipping in parts, what is involved in putting parts on?

I would not dare to try to attempt the job myself as I am not a professional even thought I have attempted roofing my own garage and building my own deck . I would buy them and take it to my indie mercedes machanic. Check the forums for the DIY on headers.

I personally dont believe those HP figures to be true and find it hard to believe it will gain 50 hp from header n pully alone .. $799+$399 plus another $1200-$1,300 for a tune and maybe you might get 30hp more

The pulley actually don't make much power gain. And 30hp for the header is hard to believe. NA engine shorty header might only pick 15 to 20hp. Combine you might pick up about 25hp. If you want, you should do ECU tune which about 25 to 30hp. So from 349hp stock you can boost up to 400hp and 430torque. Just for your reference, I am installing a Kleemann Header with SC E55 only get 40hp top and Kleemann Header looks much bigger than AMS. And NA engine pick up less HP so 15 to 20hp is more realistic.

I think if AMG could get 50hp for headers and a pulley they would have done it.

The headers make the car THAT much more fun to drive. Absolutely recommend it to everyone who can get their hands on a set. You really feel the difference at the lower RPMs and especially when passing on the freeway. Its too easy to speed up from 60 to 100mph without even downshifting. I'm 100% satisfied with the gains, fitment, and finish of these headers. Quality is top notch and the downpipe bolts tread on even smoother than with the factory exhaust manifolds. I managed to install them myself in my garage one late evening. Those of you who don't think it makes much of difference wont believe it till you drive a car with a set.

Cory from Kleemann confirmed few days ago only 40HP with Supercharged E55, what make people think 50HP in NA 55 ??? unless you tune your car and together will make 50hp.

Desired speed,
So it wasn't bad installing? I am pretty much sold on getting these ,but unsure of the pulley!!! Do u have the pulley Installed or just the headers? I realize those numbs on those gains r inflated, but tend to agree exhaust would flow more free and like the idea of tranny not downshifting as often!!!!! So hopefully wife gives the ok!!!!!

These SHOULD be fine. I have no hesitation. Even if one smog place wasn't OK, I am sure enough that another would not care or notice.

When I get the money together some kind of header is going in.

Doesnt pass visual for ca smog technically, but most smog techs wont even notice it or dont care about visual. Its definitely not 50hp though. Id say 15-20hp max but its the torque that gets you after the install. I didnt get the pulley, something about the pulley makes me nervous about the install.

this is all true, unless done right. You need lock tight and torque to correct specs and re-torque after a 1k and you are good to go. Never had a problem with my pulley.

Old thread but I'm debating pulling the trigger on the AMS headers. With my mods it should be decent increase in HP/TQ I also read with my CF airbox it would cap out around 25HP not sure on the TQ. I would definitely get a Dyno run if I go down this path. Problem is I'm planning on selling her end of year..

what to do, what to do----

I serious doubt 25hp with CF airbox but who knows. How much AMS is asking for the Header ?

Agree, which is why I would do a Dyno so that others can know what kind of gains. I'd be happy with 20 HP though...

Waiting for a response back from AMS regarding bottom price.

If the price is right I'll pull the trigger. I'm seriously thinking CLS55 end of year. So if I buy the headers I may not even sell her at all.

I also don't want to regret selling her and then wanting to buy another one.

She's a keeper

$850 is good price as long the material use is good. Trust me bro, W210 is a keeper that's why I bought it after owning W211 for 2 years. I love both my 55 but if i have to sell, I rather sell W211. CLS55 is beautiful, good luck and keep the W210 for daily drive or spare car.
For the header you need to add other $400 installation. I have Kleemann header in my W211 and it sound much meaner and response faster. Go for it ! For W210 Header will benefit more than Pulley.

Well believe! My car is a monster now. I'm glad I bought these..Thanks AMS!! Even if 50 isn't 100% it makes a huge difference
