Really don't feel like buying a set of winter wheels, and tired of my summer tires lasting 10k miles...

Best all season tires. But personally I agree with you 10k lifespan kinda sux and painful but ...... gotta pay to play and the ride difference from all summer tires to all season tires is AWFUL. The compound just can't keep up with our cars. But if you do go with all season these are your tires. 45k lifespan

but wait, I might as well as stick to what I got...see below..
This tire has nice performance characteristics in the wet and dry. It's very predictable and the ride comfort is fine. However the rear tire treadlife is awful! In 12,000 miles I had cord showing on one edge and was below the wearbars across both (the wear was very even =/- 1/32"). My front tires are Dunlop Dirreza Sport Z1 Star Specs. I've got 35,000 miles on them and probably have another 10,000 to go before hitting the wear bars.
There is no excuse for a tire wearing out that fast.

I drive with enthusiasm but don't skid and have never done a burnout or even a chirp. Just nice smooth driving on paved roads. They've never been autocrossed or tracked.
Edit: u know I was talking with a guy last nigth who owns a C55 as a DD and run these. He has no complaints, especially in the winter

What are you running now? Try the Hankook V12 I giving this a shot and so far pretty impressive on the tire wear and I have heavy foot.

That review was based on a 1997 BMW M3 highly doubt he didn't drive aggressive
but rated at 45k I'd say they should be good for at least 25k at minimum but as stated it's really a tough call. Me personally, if I were to drive my car in the winter I would go with strictly all winter tires (Blizzak) and a set of summer tires. Cost a little more but at the end it's worth it as your sticking on ice and sticking on dry pavement in the summer. FTW
or you could always get a Startus aka winter beater like me for the winter
sux but I really like the remote starter,HID, winter tires and avoid the heavy salt. In New England they love the extra, extra salt.Armani
I drive my C all winter with winter shoes on. I think I'm running either Sumitomos or Hankooks on the E or maybe it's the C. Can't rememeber what tires is on which car, either way they both wore out at about 10k..
, a couple weeks apart.

Nice! I wish I was wiping a C43 for the winter. In that case ya, join the 10k new tire club

Dedicated tires is the way to go. I bet your C43 drives like a champ with winter tires.
I wouldn't even bother getting another set of wheels/winter if your taking the E off the road and just stick with what you have. Or change it up, try something different thats what I'm doing trying to see what tires/performance/price is best.
My.55 cents
lol.. I performed a test last winter, the C on winter tires and the E on summer tires. I live on a slight hill; took both cars to the bottom of the hill where the snow had been cleared, the hill had about an inch of snow, and attempted to get up the hill. Guess which car slept outside that night...

My E55 was simply not drivable in the winter in woodstock NY , not that I wanted to anyway ....I also have an E320 Wagon there , I put on the Nokian tires ... simply awesome in the winter in any condition ..

Nice.. I got caught in the winter storm we had in Boston last month and I just barely almost made it up. (tiny hill) once there was 1'' it was over. Luckily I was able to backup/park it and it sat there for 2 days. Was not happy

So the Dodge got to sleep in the garage for 2 days

E320 Wagon FTW ! I need to upgrade. I had a Land Rover discovery that I sold a while back, I'm going try and grab another one soon but I'm saving up for CLS550 to join the E55Originally Posted by maxwerks
