2002 E55 exploring selling
Due to multiple items currently occurring I am exploring selling my 2002 E55.
Silver exterior with black interior
Purchased the car in November 08 with 13,800 miles from carmax
Car has 30,700 miles (will increase as drive daily apprx 10 miles per day)
Car has every option except Designo (navi (have disks from 2008), cooled and heated seats, parktronic, plus all standard AMG options)
3 sets of rims and tires, SL500 sport wheels with yokohama tires approx 5000 miles on car, oz wheels with blizzack snow tires with approx 500 miles, original AMG rims with Kuhmo tires with approx 10K miles.
Have original mats plus all season mats, added burlwood shift handle with AMG logo, bluetooth puck for phone, aluminum door pin locks, AMG pedals, and car cover.
All maintenance has been kept up to date to exact standards by mercedes dealer, records can be seen at any mercedes dealer (this includes already having all fluids flushed and replaced including transmission fluid, sparkplugs replaced last year, new battery last month, also had rubberized coating put around springs where these are prone to rust and replaced brake lines with stainless ones)
And last but not least i have a transferable warranty good through 11/14 that is bumper to bumper. Warranty is awesome, i had the rear sunshade and cup holder replaced under this warranty which had a cost from mercedes of about 2400 for parts and labor and all i paid was 100 deduct. There is a transfer fee of i believe 50 for this.
There is one accident on file which was from a hit and run driver (less than 10 miles an hour, just irritated me that the person took off) which left some scratches on the rear bumper.
Thinking of asking 18,500 obo... is that a fair price?

$18,500 is not very realistic price even low mileage IMO. $16K will take some time to sell, for quick sell $12K to $13K. Again, this is my opinion. Good luck.

I agree about $18,500 being on the high side.
I recently thought about selling mine but realized I'd only get maybe $10,000 for it if I was lucky (KBB shows around $13,000 for it). The market isn't very good for these cars right now. It's tanked in the year since I bought mine (at least around here).

Thanks for the replies, maybe i will just sell it back to carmax (they offered 13,500 for it) and then sell off the extras and cancel the warranty. Sounds like I will get a quicker result and more money in the long run splitting everything out

THanks for the interest, was able to sell today for 17,500 as a complete package to a person I work with and who knows how i hae maintained the car, now I dont have to go through hassle of splitting all the items out individually

I would have paid 17,500 for that car in a heart beat.
With low mileage examples it does not go by the traditional market value. Chances of finding another are super slim. A premium is a must for the low mileage examples.
Would not call the guy a sucker at all. I bought my 01 CLK55 with 37k on it, and my 01 ML55 with 36k on it. Just because they are older doesn't make them worthless.
12K car for that car is just rediculous and it shows if carmax was offering 13.5K wholesale
Afew years ago, my friend sold his mint 2002 E55 AMG wagon with 27k miles on it for 30k.
