W210 E55 AMG
70K birthday
E Double Nickel, hit the big 70,000 milestone today. So I'm making a check list of things I'm getting done to keep her happy and running another 70k.
- Service A (don't know what that entails)
- Oil Change
- Driver/Passenger Seat belts fix (very squeaky)
- Passenger Window has the lining coming out
- Brake Change (very squeaky)
- AMG Door Still replacement (Driver Side)
Anyone have any other suggestions??

Depending on what maintenance records you have, you could probably use a transmission service, differential flush, brake fluid flush, plugs, wires, (check valve cover gaskets while your in there), fuel filter...check air filters, probably could be changed, etc, etc. Welcome to the joys of owning a 10 year old car. Oh, and you might expect the following items to die randomly at any time: Crank position sensor, MAF, and O2 sensors (four of them!). Drive shaft center bearing and flex coupling might be worth checked as well.
Sounds like a long list, but its really not. These are (in general) very reliable, long lasting vehicles. The list above might apply to any car (domestic, asian, or european) that is more than 10 years old.
EDIT: Almost forgot, check front suspension bushings, motor mounts, shocks, and alignment. Having fun yet?

Almost turned 160K miles. You're a Junior.
I started a thread a while back called ' Maintenance issues on a high mileage E55 '. You might want to check that out. Members contributed with good tips.

Mine just hit 75K. But, I have applied the entire list throughout the last 20K. And, she runs beautifully. I personally would begin with a complete transmission fluid change plus a differential change. Good luck.

My 02 has almost 142k! Keep up on the transmission servicing and change any of the gaskets that leak. If you haven't done your fuel filter, you might as well do it, I just did mine yesterday.
