UTQG ratings
I seem to have a gross inconsistency on my hands and cannot explain it:
BF Goodrich Super Sport A/S (on E55 AMG) (UTQG 400): not holding up well at all
Bridgestone Turanza ER30 (on BMW X5) (UTQG 140): love them, holding up wonderfully
This seems backwards to me; am I missing something? (I drive both vehicles similarly, btw)

It is legal and permissible for a tire manufacturer to give a particular tire line a lower treadwear grade. For example: If the highest treadwear grade in a manufacturer's line up is 600, then a tire line with a lower treadwear test result might receive a grade of 400, instead of the 480 it could possibly receive.
The manufacturer can rate the tire at any rating they want as long as it doesn't overstate the grade. This could explain why your tire with a lower UTOG rating is holding up better than the tire with the higher UTOG rating. The tire with the lower rating could actually be higher...

I have had these headers sitting around FOR EVER and I have a Eurocharged ECU tune waiting to be installed. I'm soooo close to the end, Kleeman headers, random technology cats, and ECU tune and I'm done with the C43 for now.
Then I can start saving for my W210 E55

Sorry for the thread jack...
