Rear Rotors
I replaced my front rotors about 2 years ago and since there was not much in the way of options I went with Mercedes rotors.
I now have to do the rear rotors and I see that a number of companies make aftermarket rear rotors. Is there any point in going with non Mercedes? How much of the car braking is done by the rear; 20-25%. If yes, is there any point in going with “better” rotors.
Any input would be appreciated.

2000 Mercedes Benz E55 AMG
Rear rotors
I recently changed out the brakes on my 2000 E55 AMG with Brake Performance's rotors and pads. I opted for their premium dimpled and slotted disc sets which are routinely advertised in MBWorld on sale at 10% off. The rear set with upgraded semi-metallic pads ($40 extra) cost me $219 shipping included. These dimpled and slotted beauties are a worthwhile performance improvement over OEM sets. And they look WAY cool through the '06 SL65 rims, too!

Alrighty then! I've also included an image of the front rotors as they are more cool looking than the rear ones since they're considerably larger in comparison. (The front brakes set me back $569 with shipping included. BTW, it turns out these discs were brand new, Mercedes Benz aluminum hub AMG rotors that were dimpled and slotted by Brake Performance! That really makes them a smokin' deal, IMHO.) I may remove and paint all the calipers bright red or yellow in the future. Sorry the rims and tires are so dirty, but it's our monsoon season. ; )
