yes euroversion C43's came with #1 pads.

since an AMG is dropped from factory on sports suspension, now modding with Vogtland which lowers 35 mm might ONLY give me a slight drop?
not the 35mm which Vogtland claims?
what do you think about this?

been reading what the others have done on w202 AMG forum, they all use #5/#4 springpad combo to avoid rubbing issues.

using different springpads, is it necessary to do a new alignment after a each springpad test?
different springpad thickness giving different specs when doing alignment?

I'm not sure how Vogtland measures their drop, but if many others are using #5/#4 spring pads to avoid rubbing issues, I think you should do the same. Spring pads are inexpensive and aren't too hard to swap out once you are familiar with the process. It takes trial and error to get the height you want. Each specific car/ spring combo may yield different results when lowering.

Different spring pad thicknesses will raise/lower the car thus requiring alignment. Don't get an alignment until the ride height is settled and you are happy with the results. It should be a finishing touch after all other adjustments are made.

after that will I do a 4 wheel align

I want to play! Cut H&R springs, #1 pads and stock shocks (need replacing). There's virtually no gap and I haven't had any rubbing issues.

desired_speeds: Did you need to run spacers for those wheels? I love how they look and want to get some new ones for mine eventually. Figure I might keep an eye out for a cheap set on CL.

no spacers needed for the wheels, just smaller tires as they poke pretty far out.

Thanks bro! Might have to do that once i get a new tire setup. Thinking the PSS would work perfect with #3 pads since the walls on those are taller.
