If you use the steering wheel buttons, you can set it to Standard (US) or metric. I forget the technical name for the buttons, but it's the ones on the left side. Then use the up and down arrows to scroll through your options.

Ok, never mind, those settings must be for the COMAND unit.
However, on the display, you'll need to scroll through using the page buttons on the steering wheel:
Scroll through until you see this one:
Then all of these settings are available:

I'm going to have to mess with the temp one. The ones in the bottom corner of my cluster don't show for **** anymore. I can only tell if that it's in the 40s, 50s, 60s, etc...
