Bought a new vehicle

Since I only really post in this section I figured I'd share with you guys.

Anyway, I picked up a 2008 Honda XR650L with 1,800 miles on it from my work. Just got it back to my house today and it is fun as **** to ride. It's nice owning something with 2 wheels again.

I'm planning on going the motard route with it and just remembered tonight that Parts Unlimited sells dirt bike stuff. My work is a retailer for them so I get very nice prices. They have a bunch of stuff I want at the moment aside from wheels and brakes. That's going to most likely save me a good bit of money.

Happy Holidays! Is this a "Christmas" gift for yourself? Congrats on the new vehicle!

Sort of.

It was too good of a deal to pass up so I went for it. I'd been thinking about buying a bike to play with for awhile.

Bought some Pro Taper fat bars and riser adapters tonight (they're both on sale and came with free grips). I'm really tempted to just spend the couple grand for the rest of the parts I need to convert the bike over. It's one of those projects where it will be retarded if I piece it together. It all needs to be done at once.

The pain in the *** part is going to be sourcing a CRF450R/X front end for it (not on the bike below). I'll need to find someone that's parting one out.

It's going to end up looking basically like this.
