Looking to purchase W210 E55
I am hunting for a well maintained W210 E55. Prefer to stay under 110,000, well maintained, no rust etc.
Please let me know if you are looking to sell, see one locally or have any leads.
Budget is $13,000 if really clean.
my email is littlehandegan@aol.com
Thank you!

Mine is for sale with 118,000 on it. The paint sucks IMO (it's been repainted) and the interior shows some wear that's fully acceptable for the mileage. It's mechanically solid but does have a few issues. It's got a random misfire at idle that is probably a bad injector (plugs/wires didn't fix it) and the brake booster has an internal short that throws a code once every few months. My roommate works at an indy MB shop so the car has been taken care of. Joe55 over at benzworld can vouch for the car. We've talked a lot and he's seen the car in person many times.
I'd let it go for $8,000 as shown in my sig. It also comes with the stock wheels (straight, but need refinishing) with good tires. I still have the stock springs if being lowered isn't your thing. The wheels/tires on it now have maybe 2,000 miles on them and cost me $2,500.
The only reason I'm looking to sell it is because I just bought a car that my friends and I are going to run in the 24 Hours of LeMons race in 2015. I need a truck to tow that turd since my Durango doesn't like towing 5,500+ lbs of trailer and car.
I can get extensive pics if you're interested.

Be careful with this one. The front bumper is not correct for an E55 AMG.
Who knows what it went thru. Could be accident but who knows.

E320 wagon bumper
The driveways are so steep in va that after lowering the car we tore the bumper up, fog lights already weren't in the bumper so I replaced it with the one I ordered for my wagon behind hitting driveways because I sold the wagon before it could be delivered. Backing in and pulling in driveways here with the car lowered blows. Add you can see in the e32 bumper had already been chipped. Plus I don't really like the round fogs anyway.

E320 bumper looks like crap. Yes, buyer beware.
With that said, the 210 E55 is the best car I ever owned. Great acceleration and handling but more importantly it's really cheap to maintain and very reliable.

calm down will you.
Most of us here are meticulous about our E55 or any E55 for that matter. We notice every little bit of detail as well as imperfection or mismatch parts like yours. Besides you were not forthcoming when you posted the link and didn't say it belonged to you. Don't lecture us about owning several MBs, we've been there and done that many times.
OP: apologies for being off topic.

Yes, was probably in an accident where it got sandwiched. I remember seeing the car on auto trader a year or so ago. I tthought the same thing then too but, if I recall correctly, it was going for $6,000 then so I'm not sure why it's worth more now.

1998 C43 Amg
My honest openion man is try to find an amg less then 100k. Maybe one owner or two. Take it from me I bougth a c43 with 140k it has been taken care of very well. Im the 3rd owner but still things are starting to ware out. You have to take in considiration the age of the car and the mileage. I wanted to buy an e55 but I didnt have enough and at the time I was 17 years old .The car was too fast for me I almost Sheit my pants when I floored it. So I settled with a 310hp c43 lol.
DONT forget to look at the carfax and service records.

i saw a unit with 39,000 miles on ebay.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-Benz-E-Class-E55-AMG-2001-mercedes-benz-e-class-e-55-amg-/171302155667?forcerrptr=true&hash=item27e2677593&item=171302155667&pt=US_Cars_Trucks
it is more than 10k but in the end it may be worth it.
there was also a nice one on Auto Trader but I can not find it now.
consider spending 13 to 15K I think you will get more car.
ps: I have a silver and dark grey. I like the silver color better, just my opinion.

2001 Mercedes Benz E55 AMG
Hello, I am new to the MB World Forum. I leased my first Mercedes back in 2000. It was an E55 AMG. It was a 36 month lease, so I gave up the car in 2003. Since then, I have always still loved the 99 to 02 E55. Just recently, I had an opportunity to purchase a 2001 and did. It hasn't been shipped yet, but I am really excited about receiving it.
E55phil has a great point. I feel that it is important to know that sometimes it is worth it to spend a bit more and you can end up saving more $ down the road. Since these cars are not cheap to fix, buying a car with low miles, good maintenance records, no accidents, no paintwork, and no stories will save you money and aggravation in the long run. Cars with higher mileage can be great also if they are maintained well. Certainly, the members on this board know how to take care of their cars but the rest of the community may not.
Good luck on your next purchase.

I have a 2000 e55 amg with 84.000 miles for sale! Interior is immaculate with absolutely no signs of wear. Car has great service history with no accidents. Rear wheels have no curb damage but front do have some curb rash. Front bumper shows some signs of wear but still in very good shape. The only thing the car need is pads and rotors. I am williing to sell for $14.000. It is a CA car and is located in Riverside CA.

I just sold this 2001 with 119,000 on it for $6,800 (rare color too). It also didn't need $800 worth of brakes, which are more like $1,200+ if you can't do them yourself. You're asking way too much.
