Refinished Steering Wheel
I was very close to splurging on a new steering wheel because the worn two-tone look was making me grit my teeth daily. I took a friends advise and spent $10 for a dye product he recommended before buying a new steering wheel. Sorry for no before and after, but it was bad!!

I would never usually attempt something like this, but it was buying a new steering wheel or taking my chance with this product. I posted a link to it below, I went with the winter white. This stuff is used to touch up car leather by quite a few places, I never heard of it until recently. Lay a light coat down first and then two heavier coats. I covered the stitching underneath the wheel because I wanted to keep it black and really only worked on the front part of the wheel that was worn. The stuff is not sticky when it dries and is super easy to clean, it will not rub off. I completely covered everything in the front of the car except for the part of the wheel being refinished. Leave the windows open too! Please let me know if you have any ?'s. GL!

Yeah no prob, it matches up nice if you ask me but the wheel does look new now, so there is a bit of an offset. At the end of the day it looks so much better than that worn look and feels better too. Its nice to be able to grip up there without anything peeling off! There were a few other white color variations available for this product, I went w/ the winter white. GL!

Looks good. I wonder if it's good also for the front seat. My left side portion of the driver's seat is worn out due to rubbing when coming in and going out over the years. I wonder will this spray bleach out in the summer heat.....all I need is ruining my pants with a stain

Touched up my 43 steering wheel with this stuff too. So much better than the worn out feel/look. But, to be honest, the color doesn't match perfectly, it's a bit more white. However, it looks so much better than before. Doesn't take too long, just make sure everything is properly covered, as it creates a decent amount of chalky dust. Unfortunately, mine was so worn there is a slight texture to it, and it beaded up a little bit in a couple areas. I'm super picky though, but for $10 I can't complain. Did roughly 6 or 7 coats.
