vacuum leak in door
lucky me. Been on here learning since, tons of good info.It has a few issues that I am tackling one at a time, until now. So the window switches work when they feel like working, I got the car tinted before knowing these things scratch tint and now I have a vacuum leak in the passenger door, the lock pin doesn't go up or down. when it started it would go up fine but really slow to go down. haven't ruled out the actuator but hoping its just a leak in a hose.
So the question is how do I get the door panel off with the windows up?
Thought I found a tutorial on YouTube but it turned out to be an add for some instructions for sale. I have no issue spending money on tools or even instructions if I have to but seems like it cant be that hard. I got to the point of popping the clips at the top of the door panel and cant seem to get them loose. I don't want to break anything if I can help it.
I have the tint protector mole skin that I need to install and I want to find the vacuum leak in the passenger door. so I figure that is the door to start with.
Also watching a couple auctions on fleebay for a new switch assembly for the windows. I found out that someone spilled a soda on the center console and the switches have been possessed since.
thx

I have done it with the window up.
Once you have all the screws and clips undone starting at one end lift the door panel straight up holding on as close to the top of the panel as possibe to limit the amount of flexing going on.
It's usually not on that tight.
The center swtich console is easy to get out.
With the switch console completely disconnected some careful application of contact cleaner on the switches might work.
And welcome to the club
Found the leak, the vacuum line was just hanging in the door, there is a grey fitting that has a 90 on it. the 90 cracked off inside the hose. see pics.
When I first took it apart there was silicone all over the hose and the grey fitting. I ended up taking a ball filling needle and cut about a ½ inch piece and stuck it inside the grey fitting and in the grey part left in the hose. perfect fit! A little silicone to hold it in place and its working perfect again. Now I hope the kids don't need the basketball filled before I get a new one.

Thanks Dan04mcs for the help, next is to take the center console switches apart and clean the window switches.
