Fault codes on 2000 E55

Hey Guys,

I have had the dreaded "check engine" light on for a while now and finally need to do something about it (gotta get smog test to pass very soon).

From my OBD I get the following 3 faults:

P0400 - EGR Flow Malfunction (interesting as I just replaced the EGR valve)
Maybe a clog of some type??

P0161 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 2)

P0105 - MAP/BARO Circuit Malfunction

Are all 3 of the codes going to trigger the Check Engine light? Any tips regarding the new EGR OEM valve that I just replaced that still reads a fault? Any tips on the manifold pressure sensor? Just replace it with a new one?

Trying to figure out if one of these is the clear "low hanging fruit" to go after to get the light off. Any and all advice here is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance

Fault Codes

You should check he tube to your EGR valve for proper flow, common if low flow for that fault, do you have power to the EGR valve when actuated? The MAP sensor issue is probably due to a broken vacuum line to the sensor, can also set the EGR fault due to MAP sensor reads proper EGR function. O2 sensor is probably a sensor itself, not ralted to the other 2.

Thanks Man!

I will check it out. I already bought a new MAP sensor anyway. When I install it, I will checkout the vacuum line. And I will also look at that EGR tube and clean it out if I can.

Thanks again.
